Default Battery makers

Getting back into things after a two-year lay-off. I need to replace numerous batteries. The biggee is a TX pack for my 9Z... which must be fitted into a special holder. IOW, whoever does it must be familiar with it, as there is a diode/chip board involved.

I'm needing more grunt than the standard issue 1100mAh Futaba pack delivers. I also need some big-capacity receiver packs... and all must be ni-cad or NiMH. I've got two Alpha 4s, and see no need to trash them just because battery technology has taken a few leaps. So please refrain from "schooling" me on all the wonderful new lipos, etc. I am aware of them.

Anyway... I'm looking for your experiences with knowledgeable battery vendors. I know who I was doing business with before... but one of those firms is now defunct, and the other... well, I'd rather branch out, if you get my drift.

TIA...

RadicalRC, Dave Thacker has been doing this a long time and I believe will custom make a pack if one isn't listed. I've ordered many packs, all excellently made.
