Default Rx HELP FAST

I got a hitec rx and I went to fix it and well the anttina was ripped or something will this work and still have the range of the rx befor the rip? I took the wires and twisted them togeather and taped them up heres a pic will this still work or shoul i get a new rx?

Default Rx HELP FAST

If you solder the wire before you tape it, you will be fine, unless you lost some wire during the process.

Default Rx HELP FAST

Splicing antenna's is fine but the splice should be soldered and shrinkwrapped never just twisted and taped best to use 24 to 26 AWG standed wire (interesting wire in the photo looks like beads) and all Hitec FM antennas are 41.75 inchs long.
