RDS8000 twin motor question
Hi all; I need help!
I am in process of setting up an Aero Commander twin (electric). I am using two aileron servos (CH 2 & 6); twin elevator servos (CH 1 & 7). Power is to be supplied by two Hacker motors w/Hacker esc's.
I know that I can parallel the esc's, but I would prefer to use separate channels to allow balancing the motors.
I have attempted to follow the manual's instructions for "compensatory mixers (C-Mix)" with "MAS 2" = Throttle & "Slave 2" = CH 8.
I have tried this with the C-Mix switch in both directions, up & down. With one ESC plugged in CH 3 and one plugged in CH 8. I can only get the motor plugged into CH 3 to respond.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

RE: RDS8000 twin motor question
Greetings Pippin;
Thanks for the reply!
I am not using retracts and thus the "gear" channel is open.
I will give it a try as soon as I can.
Will make note (here) of results.
Thanks again!

RE: RDS8000 twin motor question
Pipon, and Others;
I hope others check out this string because I learned a very important lesson.
NEVER connect the throttle control for an electric motor to the the Gear channel!!!
I am typing this message left handed (Yes; I am right handed).
I programed the throttle as Master and gear as the slave and made all connections.
Again, the motor connected to the throttle channel operated normally and the motor now connected to the gear channel just sat there.
Until I changed the position of the gear switch.
Then; the motor ran at full speed the plane lurched forward and; well a quick trip to the emergency room and 26 stitches later the blood has finally stopped spraying but the thumb is now unusable.
If there is a monitor reading these posts, I can only beg that the message of never coupling the throttle with the gear channel be posted in a very conspicuous area of the site.
