Default Tx choice criteria : servos line

Hello,

I intend buying a high end Tx (something like Mpx4000 or Mc-22 / 24 or ???), I hesitate quite a lot , though. I do not want any "thumbs on" radio, which restricts my choice. Can u see any other brand (Futaba FC18/28 design is too old I think) which offers a not "thumbs on" Tx ( Let alone Hitec ) ?

To my mind, when choosing a Tx , it's important to take a closer look at the available servos line for the brand concerned. I cannot imagine using servos of another brand (even if i've already used JR/Graupner servos with a Sanwa tx/rx, but it was an analog one : what if digitals ?). Am I wrong ?

So let's look at each brand :
- Mpx: Mpx servos line seems poor to me; Moreover, can u tell me more about Mpx servos quality ?
- Graupner/JR seems more comprehensive
- Futaba : No idea
- Hitec : give it up, or fly foamies
- Any other ?

Graupner/Jr seems to be the best... Am I wrong ?

So this would lead me to a MC22 or MC24... I've read an article which claimed MC22 was a good investment (more recent design, not as comprehensive as a 24, but should be enough for 99% modellers). Do u think so ? What are the applications which require a Mc24, where a Mc22 is not enough ?

Regaring Mpx, what are the main diferences between a 4000 and a royal evo ? Is the latest one worth it ?
