Default Futaba FP-T9VAP display

After a year or more of storage this older tx needed new batteries which I replaced. The display remains blank however. I am assuming there is an auxiliary cell on one of the boards that powers the lcd that has did as well.

Does this radio need returned to the factory or is this something I can do myself?

Thnks,
Joe

The display in your Futaba 9VAP is not powered by the internal lithium battery cell, but the memory is. You may need a new one, which is not user-replaceable. The transmitter needs a complete software reset after the lithium cell is replaced. Your transmitter should be sent to a service center for checkout/repair.

Thanks for the reply Bill.

I'll send it in right away. I love this Tx.
