Changing the input/sticks

Hey, would it be possible to wire a joystick and throttle stick into a transmitter? Would I need a liscense for it? What I want is to make a "cockpit" for my BVM electra for FPV flying.
Does this sound possible to you guys?
Thanks...

Well, what I had in mind was what they have on fighter jets nowadays, with the throttle on the left armrest, and the stick on the right armrest. I really don't feel comfortable with the stick being in the middle like on "The Amazing Chair".

But you can use that as a guide to design it your way

If You connect it through the "Trainer" port,You won't have "Modified" the transmitter and will be OK with the FCC ("Legal").

Well, on that note, I could start off with a buddy box, and make the trainer switch on my tx a switch that stays in position, not haveing to hold it.

Under AMA guidelines, all FPV flying must be on a buddy box. The master transmitter must be held by a person who is actually watching the plane at all times. While the AMA guidelines are not regulations or laws, they are common sense guidelines that hopefully will help keep the people who do make laws out of our hobby.
