Futaba Receiver Question

Two of my planes have the Futaba FP-R127DF, Ch. 38 receiver in them. These receivers were in planes that have crashed before. What I've been experiencing is the same spot in the flying field where the planes will not respond to the transmitter controls for a few seconds and the plane becomes very unstable. One of the club members said it is the ceramic filter in the receiver that is cracked causing this dead spot. I do not have this problem with the other planes that have this same frequency and use the same Futaba T6XAs transmitter.
Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

Futaba Receiver Question

Anytime you have a receiver involved in a violent crash it is prudent to have it checked. In your case the 127df can be purchased for around $50 so it is probably not worth having it checked or repaired. Why risk injuring yourself or others over a $50 part?

Futaba Receiver Question

I believe the filter is replaced pretty much as SOP in servicing. That and the crystal seem to be standard things. I would either send them for service or replace them. Been there. Fixed the crashes.

Futaba Receiver Question

Thank you for your replies. I have the one back at Futaba now and I will replace the other one.
