Aren't cars on a different band?

No, the best thing to do is get some channel 37 crystals for you plane receivers.

Going another 2 channels isn't going to harm anything on the receivers. I have several low band Futaba receivers that (coincidentally) are now on channel 37, with no range issues. Trust me, I know all about high and low band, but 2 channels difference isn't going to make any dramatic (or even noticeable) impact on performance.

Possibly So but my preference would not be to suggest that to anyone without explanation so they could make their own decision to ignore the manufacturers recomendation.

Futaba breaks the band into upper and lower to further improve response and cut out interference. I guess it depends on how you look at this to whether it is a problem or not.
I've talked with flyers who have used the Futaba system for control for many years trouble free. Follow the rules and have fun. The pleasure's received from trouble free flight "big time" outweigh the cost of playing. Get the right radio and the right crystal. And stay with Futaba! Have fun flying!!!! Ross Canyon |
