Two servos for elevator

I am going to use two servos and y harness for the elevator in the tail of a World Model P51 GS. Will you get differential movement ie. one going up and one down? If so is the best way to deal with it by turning one servo the other way round.

I am using a Futaba 9C TX. Is there a function on the radio that stops the y harness differential movement? If so is this a better way?

RE: Two servos for elevator

For two elevator servos, you use the 'Alevator' function in your 9C's Advanced menu. Just set the aileron movement to 0%. See page 49 of the 9C instruction manual. IT goes through the comlete setup of dual elevator servos.

RE: Two servos for elevator

Hi Harigo, which receiver are you using ? If it less than 7 channels, you'd have to use pmix with Ch5 as slave for 2nd elevator. If it is 7 or more, you could use ailevator, or the pmix. You'll need to have separate extension wires to each servo.

You'd also want to ensure that the pushrod/servo arm/control horn geometries on both elevators are the same, with the servo arm perpendicular to the pushrod at neutral.

Good luck !
