Modifying zero-points of servo's with FlySky FS-TH9X
 

Hello,

I've ben working on a pulse-jet powerd VTOL platform. To manouvre this platform, I intend to vector intake thrust. I've made three hinged "scoups" that can redirect thrust and manouvre the engine. To move these scoups, I bought a bunch of servo's and a flysky FS-TH9X.

Here's my problem: I need to be able to move 3 of those flaps in the same fashion. The flap you see moving in this video is hooked up to the left progammable stick. This stick will stay in whatever verticall position you put it in, where the horizontal movement and the right (ail/throt) stick move back to the middle once released. As you can see in the video, the servo moves from -45 degrees all the way to +45 degrees. I need this full range of motion to move the flap. The problem is: the servo's go back to their "zero" position one the controll stick is released, so they start at zero and can be moved to -45 degrees and +45 degrees.

Is it possible to program my flysky so that the resting position of the controllsticks represents -45 degrees on the servo instead of zero? meaning that if I move the stick forwards from dead centre, the servo will move to +45 degrees, and when I release the stick again, the servo goes back to -45?

Furthermore, can I manually program each button/knob to a specific channel? I also need a throttle controll, which I intend to hook up to one of the knobs (hov pit/ hov thr)

The manual that came with the flysky isn't of much use: it looks like it has been directly translated from Chinese, is riddled with typo's and is verry unclear.

A friend suggested splitting the signal (so same channel but 2 servo's): one servo on the up stroke of the stick and one servo on the downstroke

I dont have a 9x, I have the updated version called Taranis.
I believe the 9x uses the opentx operating system as the Taranis does .If so you should be able to do it.
google opentx for more information.

hanks for the info, but opentx is custom firmware and I'm not at the point yet where I want to crack this thing open and flash it

opentx is the operating system for your radio I think, You dont need to flash it,its already been flashed.
Download the manual. It will tell you if you can do what you want. .
