62Kg-cm (861 oz-in) Servo from JX for only $44!

Maybe it's too good to be true, but I'm gonna risk losing $44. I feel like Tim "The Toolman Taylor" on this one... MORE POWER! Even if this thing reaches half of the advertised 861 oz-in, I'd be impressed. I ordered one today from Banggood. I can't post links yet, so you'll just have to look up JX Servo PDI-HV2060MG if you are interested. It's large, so may not fit in an 8th scale rig without modification. I think it would be amazing in a large crawler.

Here are the pertinent specs:

Operating Voltage: DC 6.0V-7.4V
Operating Speed: (6.0V) 0.17 sec/60°
Operating Speed: (7.4V) 0.15 sec/60°
Stall Torque: (6.0V) 48kg.cm
Stall Torque: (7.4V) 62kg.cm
Dimensions: 65.8X30X57.4mm
Dual ball bearing.
Metal gears.

JX servos are relatively great, from what I have read, seen, and heard. So much so, that I've had a couple of servos, from the JX brand, in my wishlist for about a year now. I am waiting for mine (not a monster sized one like you ordered) to show up at my door steps any day now. I have come to accept the fact of "you get what you pay for" in the hobby. I don't normally skimp on my servos, but occasionally I will go out on a limb. $44 is a moderately priced servo in my book. It seems to me that when you go for a super low budget (cheap) servo with too good of specs, that's where you start running into issues of quality control.

My JX servo that's on it's way from Banggood is only a 14.32 kg-cm "Eco-Boost" servo with a brushed motor...super low budget. This is one of the times where I'm going out on a limb type of deals. I can't wait to bash it up good. The only thing I worry about is how long the aluminum gears will last. If I can get a year out of it, I'll be happy. If I get longer use out of the servo...bonus. If it turns out to be a bust, then I'll be in search of one of JX's steel geared servos to play with.

Okay, you spiked my interest. What RC are you planning on putting the servo in?
