question about servo leads, buffers, interference
 

I've had a couple of bouts of jittery aileron servos. Its been in cases where I'm at a big fly-in with lots of other flyers & radios going. My servo leads are quite long since the aileron servos are out near the wing tips. I've heard this can draw interference into the system & would like advice on how to fix it.

What do servo buffers do to fix this problem? Can I use a digital servo buffer with a standard non-digital servo?

How big should the servo leads be? Should the extension be the same gauge as the leads? What gauge are standard servo extensions relative to "heavy-duty"?

Use the heaviest guage wires you can find for the extensions. Eliminate connectors wherever possible.
Buffers are just another source of trouble in my opinion.

I would use at least 22 AWG or larger and twist the wire to length.
Many people will tell you that twisting the wires does nothing.
Just try it, it will not hurt.
