Servo arm screws

Where can I get new servo arm screws for JR and Hitec Digital servos?
I would prefer Allen head over Philips head.
When I try to put the Air Wild arms on, they are so tight the Philips heads just get chewed up.

I bought mine here. http://www.microfasteners.com/catalo...cts/METSCM.cfm

Hitec is 2.6x8 and JR is 3x8.

You might want to double check but I think I believe Hitec has changed their screw
sizes to 2.6 x 10mm for digital servos w/karbonite gears. I fly Hitec digitals and all of mine are 2.6 x 8. I understand
if you have the short sizes you can let Hitec know and they will send replacements.

I haven't requested replacements yet.

Plastic gears will have a odd screw...a 2.6 MM screw is likley a plastic screw, not a machine screw..the Hitec digitals use the 2.5 x 8 mm screws...some hobby shops have them too...

You can get the 10 mm long screws for Karbonite HT servos from Hitec service. They will probably just give them to you free since the longer screws keep the failures down.

Check my link in the first reply, the 2.6 is a alloy screw for metal gear hitec servos. Do a search for this or ask Mike over at the hitec board and you will see. A 2.5 will not work.

2.5's work fine in the Hitec metal gear servos.... secure 'em with loctite or PFM...

Don't get it?? what is 7 out??

I know the thread is 2.6 but 2.5's work fine. 2.5's you can get at Ace hardware and the LHS. 2.6's you have to special order...

It was meant as a joke. It's a Craps (gambling) term. :-)

Fine thread bolts work fine in course threaded holes too once you get them in ONE time and get them tight. It still doesn't make it right. That's all I was trying to say. If it's not the right size, it's not the right size. Some dice aren't worth rolling and even if you want to do it, it's fine but we shouldn't encourage others to propogate our own known mistakes IMO. :)
