RE Synth NO problems at all!!
 

My setup:

Speed 500 with A Hitec soft-start electr.on/off-controller ; Hitec mini servos
and Simprop Picoline 35 MHz receiver

Problem: serious bursts of power also with a
small right stick movement (Evo on the Mode II)
left stick - normal function '
I have a no-problem- function with a crystal-module -version ( Futaba 9C).

With glow engines no problems with the synth
module ( with Hitec/ Futaba/ Simprop receivers)
Would be nice to know the reason... Evo-users please help

Harry C, Joedy .. is this the same type of a thing connected to the jitter with some ( JR )digital servos and a syntheziser module ?
Mystical and really, otherwise my Royal Evo 7 is working perfectly.

I don't understand. Why do you think that the Tx is causing the problem? With the fault as you have described it, it sounds like a fault in the model.

JohnM ... The set-up was functining with no problem with Futaba 9C -
the only thing that I changed was the Tx. My Royal Evo with a HFM-S sytheziser module did make some odd malfunction to the speed -controller.
Just double-checked the motor-
glider once again with Futaba- perfect!


I haven´t tried the set-up with A crystal verson Evo-module-
called HFM-4, but I thing the problem might be on the synth module...

Take the same set up (RE tx) but without the speed controller. Replace this with a servo. If the transmitter is faulty then you will see some crossover with right stick. The servo that replaces the ESC will twitch or move. If this doesn't occur, the Tx is not directly causing the problem.
However, You have an eclectic mix of products from many different manufacturers. We tend to take it for granted that all these items will automatically work together, but it is not always so. Personally I suspect that the ESC could be the problem, simply because I have had exactly this problem. I had an ESC which I could not get to work with one TX, but it worked perfectly with another.
Tryb the experiment above and see what happens.

Dear John,
My Evo is OK with a glow-engined model ( with conventional servo ),
so when replaced the ESC with servo everything
on the electric glider was working well.

So it´s the Hitec and MPX-synth that don´t mix well ,
and now they are of the same big corporation ...

The ESC is now discontinued. This is not a big problem to me but
I would nearly give my left arm to know the reason..

Solved : EVO is totally OK!!
 

Life is simple but electronics not !

I just removed the extension lead ( c. 20 cm) off the BEC -lead
to receiver and now my Evo works nicely with CG Electra.

Now... does an extension lead make such a bad magnetic field around
the receiver or something... ??

Hi Smolik,
Well I second your comment that electronics are not simple. There are a number of possible explanations but my guess is that it's to do with tolerances. If the pulses from your MPX transmitter are to one end of the tolerance range (but still within tolerance), and the ESC is at the other end of the tolerance range, you will have problems.
Equally, the ESC could be putting out a lot of RF noise. Many of them do, after all they are driving an electrical noise generator (the motor). Do you have a ferrite ring on the ESC lead to the RX?
