These new servo connectors with built in CLIPS ??
Anyone gotton their hands on these new servo connectors/extensions? [link=http://www.cheetahrc.com/clip.html]clips[/link]
The female plug apparently has a built in clip that grabs the male connector to secure them. Looks neat. http://www.cheetahrc.com/clips1.jpg |

I can't belive Futaba or Hitec hasn't had these for years. Redundant fastening is a must on airplanes.

Yeah and we've all been putting shrink tube or string on them to keep them connected. All that's required is a little better connector.

My KO digiace 4 channel radio from 1980 used exactly the same clip method to keep the supplied connectors together.
So these "new" clips on the female connector are not a new idea, just an old one dusted off and put to use on the modern style connectors. Still a good thing though. |
