Optic 6 for Sailplanes

I'm trying to get a handle on any limitations in regards to controlling full house sailplanes and DLG gliders.

I've heard that in a 4 servo wing, the 2 flap servos need to be connected with a Y harness so independent actions (like ailoron to flap mixing or centering/EPAs of individual flap servos) are not possible. True? - either way it's not a show stopper for my needs.

What about the capability to put an elevator and/or rudder preset (trim offset) on a spring loaded switch? A setup like this is used for the first split second of a 60" discuss launch glider.

In the ads I see what seem to be many positives in this radio. Does anyone know of any serious or not so serious drawbacks a glider flyer should be aware of when purchasing this radio?
