Rookie question about RX antennae???

I just finished assembling a 40 size P-51. I usually fly trainers and the usual Kaos. I've been running my antennae down the side of the fusealage but on my P-51 I want to run it through a tube through the fusealage to the tail section. There will be about 10" hanging out the back. Would that set up be ok? Or would you advise to run it out the front and have most of the antennae hanging out? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks

You should have no problems, this is what I did on my Great Planes 40 sized P51. As a matter of fact I do this on all my planes & have not had a problem yet. If you use a metalic covering though keep the antennae on the outside then.;)
