Beyond 6 channels

For R/C airplane, the normal 6 channels control I've seen are:
Throttle, Rudder, Aileron, Elevator, Flaps, Retracts

What other controls do people use beyond 6 channels?

As for the new Futaba 14MZ with 14 channels, what would you use the other 8 channels for?

I'm happy with flying my 4 channels and just curious about the "other" channels.

RE: Beyond 6 channels

Here are a few options:

Twin engines with separate throttles, left and right mixed rather than using a Y.

Four engines, inboard on one channel, outboard on another channel.

Two aileron servos on different channels

Bomb drop

Power Canopy slide

Pilot figure motion or gunner motion

Lights or sounds

It's pretty easy to use up 7 channels, just with multiple servos.

Best wishes,
Dave Olson
