Synthesised radios

Are synthesised radios legal in the UK? It's probably been dragged up before, but I didn't want to look through all the posts![X(]

It's not a matter of weather it's synthesized or not, it just has to generate frequencies that are legal for your area.

Lynx is quite right. The just need type certification and they are legal. So far as I am aware Futaba, Multiplex and Hitec all have systems available in the UK. Also Simprop have synth Rx's available.

As synth receivers, can work on many frecuencies, but you only may work in the channels legally aproved for your country.
P.E. MPX IPD Synth 9 can work in the mayor channels on 35 band, to cover Europe, but in each country we must emit only in the frecuencies aproved for us.
If you use another one, you don´t have the problem about other fliers working on the same, but it is possible you are not covered by insurance, and it is possible they are used by no-rc people.
