Hitec 5945

At one point in time, there was a problem with the HITEC 5945, don't remember what it was, but I remember everyone talking about it. It happened before I started using HITEC servos. Apparently, the problem was taken care of and there was a cutoff date in which the servos manufactured after such and such date did not have the problem....

Anyone remember what this problem was and more importantly, WHAT THIS CUTOFF DATE IS?

I have purchased two NIB servos second hand and they are marked MAR 02

RE: Hitec 5945

March 02 is the good date.
It had to do with the end point of the servos and binding if the transmitter setting was too high.
Remember I am old and this may not be 100% correct but this is what I remember.

Geistware,

Been doing some searching on this and so far all I could come up with is a "PROGRAMMING" issue. I do have the programmer, but I wanted to figure out what the issue was.....

Thanks for the help

RE: Hitec 5945

It was the 56XX series with the program issue and not the 59XX. The Mar 02 date is the latest. The software issue was setting the endpoint past 125% if I remember correctly. Maybe somebody with a better memory will jump in.[:-]
