Synth Receivers
 

Do the Synth receivers tune exactly to the transmitter freq??? A crystal controlled transmitter can be off freq by the amount allowed so does the synth receiver tune to freq it receives from the transmitter ??? If it does this would be great since a crystal controlled receiver could be off by the allowed amount in the opposite direction as the transmitter and could result in decreased range and performance.So if you have a synth transmitter and synth receiver you should get the max performance since they both are tuned to each other exactly ??? Does Anyone have any ideas on this????

The tolerance of a synthesized receiver verses a crystal controlled receiver are pretty much the same. They both use a crystal as the frequency determining element. The very slight amount of off frequency that you are talking about is well within the receivers ability to decode our servo pulses. You will not see any performance gain from using one over the other.

I should have said you will not see a performance gain from one over the other because of the method of controlling frequency ie synthesized verses crystal. You very will could see a difference based upon other factors. ;)

The Polk Seeker RXs lock onto the signal so theoretically they should have a closer tolerance. I think[:-]
