Looking for receiver compatible with ParkZone TX

I have an old 3-channel 27MHz transmitter from a ParkZone J-3 Cub which I'd like to re-use. Unfortunately, the original receiver had only connections for 2 servos and an electric motor, I need to control 3 servos.

I naively bought a Hitec HFS-03MM 3-channel 27MHz FM receiver, but it doesn't work at all. Is this one of those positive/negative shift things? Or is the Parkzone transmitter AM instead of FM?

Horizon Hobby is mighty short on technical info for the Parkzone products.

Thanks for any help!

RE: Looking for receiver compatible with ParkZone TX

Parkzone/HobbyZone Tx's use a proprietary variable-rate/variable-width pulse encoding format. Standard R/C Rx's will not work with them.
