Servo Tester
 

looking for something I can use to plug in-between the servo and rx to see if there is any binding or excessive current draw..I know ive seen them but haven't been able to find one..

There was the how-to on making one in RC Reports magazine a while back. Real simple if you have an analog meter.

There used to be a couple of Servo Cyclers on the market and I haven't been able to find that variant either.

I'm particularly interested in that as that capability (on the 10X I flew before the DX7 took over) was very helpful in weeding out bad servo pots. The slow cycle makes them stick out like a sore thumb.

Any info available on these?

The H9 one is excellent. I hook it up to each servo during an install to ensure nothing isbinding or stalled (especially important using digital servos) and then when I'm done I put it between the battery and the reciever and put the SERVO menu into TEST mode and watch the total current draw as all the servos are moving, then flip it to volts and make sure the regulator are holding its voltage under load.

Even IF I don't remember it being exactly like those pictured, their functions are what I wanted.

I've had the Vexacontrol for a year or so. It works great. Worth every penny.
