servo gear lockup
 

hi,

i just bought new servos & while turning them by hand it locked up in the extreme position...

it took a lot of force to get it back ( it made a little "crack" sound in the gears)

it does it repeatedly, but only on one side. however, the gears do not appear to have broken

i know that in practical terms the servo rotation (travel) will never go that far , but i am concerned anyhow

1) why does it do that?

2) should i get a new one?

OK, problem solved ... gears locked up for good[:'(]

on the second servo of the same type (GWS naro BB) i can also detect the "click" at at the end of the travel (one side only) so i'm returning both servos

i guess i won't be buying those anymore[:o]
