exponential buddy box?

Is there a way to modify an old Futaba buddy box for reduced servo throws? When I started training last year, one of the first problems was the sensitivity of my student radio (a Conquest). My instructor advised once I get past the sensitivity of the controls I can set the exponential settings on my main radio (an 6EX) for less response. I've learned to deal with the sensitivity of the radio by practicing at the field and on my SIM but wondered if there was an easy mod I can do to help the next new guy. I think I read a computer radio set up as a buddy box has adjustable exponential settings when coupled to another computer radio.

If I remember right my dual rates and expos go thru to the BB from my 9C.

Can't say for sure about your particular radio but assuming (I know that's a bad word...) it's similar to my 9C, you can set the master or instructors radio to either work with the settings in the trainer box or use the master's settings which would have the expo/throws etc. of the master radio.

Check the manual for the radio you have for this capability... [8D]
