Spektrum - Aircraft vs Heli version
 

I have the Heli version and am setting up an airplane. I can not find any way to use the three way switch on the top left of the transmitter when in the airplane mode. It is labeled Flt Mode N, 1, 2. Does anyone know if this switch can be used in the airplane mode. I was hoping to use it for my dual rates.

That switch is the flap switch in airplane mode, did you select the flap switch for the dual rates in the airplane mode?

Hey razr, good to hear from you again. I see where I can select Flap 2 or 0 in the manual for my dual rates. The switch that I am referring to is the switch labeled "Gear" on page 27 of the manual. Of course, on my radio it's labeled flt mode.

hmm, I know that the flight mode switch for helis is the flap switch for planes. If you select flap switch for the combined dual rates, that 3 position switch should change your rates.

Yes, that's the way it is on my 9C Super. I was hoping that this radio would be the same. The best that I can tell you can't select that switch however. My next thought is to open the case and see if I can physically move the switches. I have a set of heavier springs that I am going to put on the sticks if they will fit. I'll look at the switches when I have the case open.

When I get home on Friday I will take a look and see how I made it work.
