Throttle Servo

I am interested in using a small/micro servo for the throttle with a short pushrod, on a Avenger Combat Plane; my thought was the Hitec H-55; I was told this would not be strong enough, would srtip the nylon gears easily, it was suggested to use the Hitec H-81MG, much stronger and has metal gears, is this overkill, or would the H-55 or the Nylon geared H-81 be suffcient, another consideration is that these planes are prone to midairs and the parts have to be expendable including the servos, I would hate to put out the cash for the Metal geared servos if I can get by with the cheaper nylon geared ones; appreciate your thoughts.

RE: Throttle Servo

I've used nylon gear mini servos in a number of planes up to 90 size you'll be fine. Lately I've been using the JR sport MN48, I've also used HS-81s a number of times. THey are fine, you don't need metal gears.
