servos in wing - howto

So I'm putting together a new plane that will have 2 servos per wing half - I've never had this before, so I'm a little confused as to what to use to connect them. In the past, my wings that had 2 servos (full size wing) I just used an Amped Y harness which would reverse one servo - how is it done when the 2 servos must operate in the same direction? And what's the best product to use?

Thx

Standard Y harnesses will not reverse either servo and are perfect for your application.

Be careful if you are using digital servos. When two servos are driving one aileron, if they don't center exactly the same they will fight each other centering, with the result being a dead battery. Futaba and JR make a product to gang servos together to help eliminate this.

Hmm, I was going to use 2 Hitec 605BB in each wing halve - any suggestions for this?

If are using the two servos on one control surface, you can use a simple Y-harness. This is how we did this all the time before digital servos came out along with their "match boxes". As long as you are careful in setting up both servos so the linkages are identical in all ways, you will not have a problem.

What is the application, ie, how big of a bird are we talking?

Be advised, it has been reported in this forum that the HS-605s do not center very well -- would think that would be very important if you were hooking them to the same surface.
