question about tx
 

I am building my friend a mod nylint with upgrade electronics. He doesnt want to spend anymore money so and has no tx. I found an old xmod tx and it takes crystals was wondering if
by any chance these tx would work with a 2015 traxxas rx?

I checked and they both use the same frequency 27 mhz. I haev two brown crystakls of xmod and traxxas and they same size and 26.995 #1

am or fm am should not be a problem fm it would depend what shift the tx uises and what shift the rx uses.
