question on regulators and 2.4

When using dual nicd packs 2400mah and 1800mah and dual switch set-up.... is it mandatory to use regulators between switch and receiver when using dual 6 volt batteries.? I'm using the ar9000 receiver....

RE: question on regulators and 2.4

No it is not nessary to use a voltage regulator between the 6v batteries and the reciever, but you may need a voltage regulator between the reciever and your servos.
It depends some servos can take 6v quite well but some canot.
YOu need to determin what voltage your servos can take. ;)
