Futaba gold got Hot

Help
It started to rain , had to hurry and land.
Grabbed my gear and headed home which
took about 20 min.
When I put my gear away I noticed my
Futaba gold tx was hot.
It seems to be working O.K. But
have not range tested or tried to fly.
What is to be expected and should I
fly?
Of course the problem was I left the
switch on. Duhhhhhhh

I'm guessing that you left it on with the antenna down?

You're probably OK, but I would definately range check it before you try to fly with it.
