What do you do after a crash to your reciever?
 

I know most of us have had a crash in our lifetime.
What do most if you do with the equipment after a crash.

Engines and servos I think you know if they are god or not.
but radios are a bit scary...

1)Do you trash the battery and receiver?
2) Send the receiver in for service?
3) Get a new receiver?
I have noticed a lot of guys sell the receiver and buy new one after a crash.

Kinda seems to me unless you have a very expensive receiver its better too just get a new replacement. Cheaper I mean :cool:

Check it and see if it still works. Then do a range check. After this, Place it on a dremel vibrating saw ( while on and connected to a servo) to make sure there are no vibration problems caused by the crash. Then install in an old plane and fly ( before putting in your new pride and joy) If all of this checks Ok, then you will not have any problems flying it!

I always replace the crystal (they're scarily fragile) and then range check everything, preferably with the motor running. If it's o.k. I carry on using it.

As stated, I test it well, then continue to use it. If you protect it in the plane, it will more than likely be fine.
