Hitec 7955TG servo issue???

I think I am having issues with my Hitec 7955TG servos. The servos were purchased new last year for my 50CC plane and exhibited no issues the entire season. Over the weekend I went thought the plane to prep it for the flying season and noticed 2 of the servos (one on an Aileron and the other on an Elevator) would jitter like crazy constantly and never stop unless I unload the control surface. Also the control surfaces would actually deflect about an 1/8” in both directions and the servo never settles to the natural position. What gives? Are my servos going bad?

make sure the connectors pins are clean and run them a bit and see what happens

RE: Hitec 7955TG servo issue???

HiTEC HS-7985MG Digital Servos, brand new, on elevators of 35% Extra 260, jitter under only the elevator weight, and will not stop no matter what I do. Adjusting to a higher dead band makes no difference. All linkage is firm and not binding. Lifting the elevator weight off of the servo linkage stops the jitter. What is the problem? I have never had servos to persistently jitter like this. Anyone with a solution?

RE: Hitec 7955TG servo issue???

I have the following response from Hitec on the servo jitter issue -
"All Hitec digital servos will exhibit some jitter with a slight load on them, like the weight of a control surface. Once flight loads, or zero loads are realized it’s not there. So, yes it is normal and you should not worry about it because it will not affect your model in flight.
Mike."
