Going Digital

What is the difference between digital and regular servos? What are the advantages/disadvantages? Why are they better? Thanks in advance.

One big disadvantage is right next to the dollar sign!
They're probably worth it if you need the extra torque etc. but still...

unless your a balls out flyer you are wasting your money going digital. the torque is three times as much as analog but the battery drain is also way up.hightec will make a servo to do anything you need to do

Digitals center 3 to 5 times more per second than an analog, they are more prescise, and some like the Hitecs are programmable. You can get analog servos that have more tourqe than some digitals. Digital doesnt always mean more power, just most manufacturers only make the really powerful ones in digital. The programmable ones are really great though. The Hitecs are one example, and I think the Multiplex ones are programmable too. With the Hitecs, you can change the ATV, failsafe position, subtrim, transit speed, and some other things.
