RE: 2007 Las Vegas Tracks and Events
Yeah man Im the guy that runs the races at the Silver Bowl and I have a track in my back yard and I only own 1 truggy and the rest are 1/10th scale trucks elec. and gas and buggies. Even though there havent been alot of them out at the races its slowly picking back up for 1/10th scale and I would stick to Associated because of the parts issues. I have lots of parts all the time cause the guys at C2Hobbies in Boulder City order me what I need that they dont already have so I try to keep a good stock of GT2 parts and all the Factory team Associated guys locally someone is bound to have what you need.

[:'(]Whats great anout Tiggers pics is that there is not a lot of noise in the background of the pics... Mags should hire him because of all the races in Vegas.

A few from today--a couple I just posted because the tire is falling off. One is just for Kazz. It was an "off" day for me as well--I cleaned the camera, lens, and contacts when I got home--something I should have down before going to the track.

As this thread comes to a close, here's a quick photo I took downtown Friday night after a dinner party.
Happy Holidays.
Edit: A few more holiday photos.... The Venetian photo I took last year, but I uploaded it any way since I'm debating on making a large print of either the Bellagio photo, the Venetian photo, or last year's Xmas tree photo that I took at Caesars. Any input?

There was a 2006 thread, a 2007 thread, and now 2007 is almost over. Will there be a 2008 thread? Only the thread starter will know.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. My question is any ideas or opinions as to why Cutting Edge closed ?

That shot of the Bellagio is really beautiful. Which cat is that in the photos?

That's Bennie with the 1/4 scale R/C and in the other photos. He likes to lay on the R/C and sleep on it. He also paced back and forth for days on the R/C rack the last time I took down the 1/4 scale and let one of the other RCU members race the R/C at the Quarter Scale Super Nationals. Then Bennie marked the R/C (rubbed on it) like crazy after I got it back. I got asked if I wanted to sell the 1/4 scale a couple of times and even thought about it, still think about it, but I'm such a sucker and spoil the cats so I just let Bennie enjoy his R/C bed.
Then I opened that box up on X-day. I guess the BluRay DVD player was a present from me-to-me and the box, a present to Bennie. After all, it didn't take him long to get down off the R/C car and climb into the box. And right now, Bennie is on the 1/4 scale R/C--I actually keep the Minis locked up though Bennie (assuming it was Bennie) has knocked down an 1/8th scale buggy.
BTW, if anyone is interested in going to the Boulder City track:

RE: 2007 Las Vegas Tracks and Events
They are closed for a list of reasons. The business was doing really badly, alot would say due to management, then jeffery left to florida for college, and it was his business from his grandpa. Then John and his wife left to do long haul trucking. they closed the doors, took everything out, even the dirt.
That, and Finishline closing is why Sin City RC jumped in to start racing 10th, and 8th scale at the Silver Bowl park off road track. We had been looking for a plot of land for roughly 3 months, so that we could start a new track; we even talked to the LVMS, but they wanted enough money to bankrupt some small countries. We will continue to look into building a new facility where we wont have time restrictions, but we have probably a few years off. We still need to grow the racing we do now.

Bigedmond thanks for the reply, I guess what I wanted to know is the 1st point series had a lot of participation the 2nd series had about half and then from then on people just stopped showing up and I was wondering why ? We are also looking at trying to get something going but here on the north side of town.

well we are in talks to start a point series with Silver State RC, with the first race in April. They are only have 1 race before silverstate, so they want to wait untill then. But if there will 3 tracks to race at, even better. Where are you guys racing at so i can add it to my map.

Just don't make the next points series so damn long. Originally the last one was planned to be 12 weeks (before Finishline dropped out)! That's too much for most people to participate in. I think something like 6-8 weeks with 2 throw outs is a lot better and will allow more people to participate.
