large outdoor oval in horseheads,ny
hi all,
i've built and groomed a 320+ foot running line modified d-shaped oval on clay soil. packed well and smooth enough for all types of rc cars with the exception of onroad types as it still has some texture to it for realizm and to keep u on your toes. lots of run off room with no need for hard barriers as it is laid out in a field.
i am up there several days a week to mow and tinker with the track so practice and setup is possible and would like to get some people together and do some informal racin and bashin weekends besides the couple that i know here.
no jumps in the oval, but plan on carving up the interior of the track next year and laying out the technical section complete with jumps and table tops. i'd also like to lay out dual side by side u-shaped obstacle course like the big boys bash on where we can race against time and the track.

well from the nyc/nj area ur looking at a 3+ hour drive or more.. about half way across new york state on interstate 86 is where elmira/horseheads is located.

awesome man! im here at elmira college. i have a evader id love to rip that track w/. if you use AIM def i-m me, eastcoastzigzag, how far ru from the college? id LOVE to help build an off road track in the spring if its allowed, if its ur land and such. maybe a nice strech in the middle of jumps? cya man, dave
