Im the McGyver of Nitro Rc cars!!!!!!
So i recieved my one-way bearing in the mail today that i've been waiting for for about 2 weeks and when I put it on, the pullstart didn't fit over the bearing. I tried EVERYTHING to get the pull starter on, but it wasn't happening. So instead I found a socket that fit the one-way bearing, hooked it onto an extender and then connected it to my drill. All said and done, i turned the drill on (only doing short burst as a pull starter would) and cranked thatengine right over. I dont think im ever going to buy a cheap and crappy pull start again, the drill works perfect.

You can do that, there is nothing wrong. There is a unit that pretty much contains that one-way bearing and you just attach a hex shaft into it, much like a tigerdrive system, only no gears.

McGyver, no. McGyver could build a gearbox made from a paper clip and a tampon.
