The R40 is a pain in the butt for pipes, it needs the unusual orientation. I used to have one, but I forget which side the pipe is, just make sure you get the right one, or the pressure nipple will be underneath the pipe. I really miss my R40, but they are no longer particularly competitive, they are relative tanks compared to the current models. Therefore, in your position, I'd probably just go for the HPI MT2 plastic pipe, since the performance difference between that and some racing .12 pipe will be negligoible, and IF I remember correctly, they have the same orientation as the R40.

Thanks Foxy

Iended up emailing THSRacing and went with their THS1015 Pipe.. Iwent and got the Turbo and Standard Version pipes.. We'll see how those work out.. My THSPipe on my Rs4 3 Evo works well so I am guessing these will perform just as good.

Well got the R40 all together, slapped a THSRacing Pipe on the OS .12.. Just waiting to get a rx battery and some servos installed.

That is nice. How you get them wheels? I had ordered them but HPI stopped production on them.

Iwill admit Iam hooked all over again!Baja's have been on the back burner for the last couple of months.. AlthoughIdo have to break them out again.. Irecently worked with Oneill Brothers Racing and we built a Monsterman/OBRMotor whichIneed to get broken in!!

Iwill have to take a minute or two and pick your brain about that Xray NT1 you have or had!! Ithink an Xray might be in my near future.

You'd be very welcome! Although I have to admit, the manual setup was too good for me (in other words, setting it up according to the manual made it handle well enough that it wasn't the car setup letting me down but my driving ability). It's a fantastic car. Won the greek championship this year for what, the 5th time running (not me, the NT1 lol).

I have an M18T pro myself, it's one of the cars I run the most often, til I crashed it the other week. Hit a truggy at about 50mph, it was an ugly mess. Wheels flying. Right side front arms both obliterated, half still attached to the wheel, bent left steering arm, lower rear arm broken, and that's about it. Not a mark on the chassis or the carbon fibre. Quite amazing for the speed and impact. I run it on 3s at 7500kv. Xrays are great, I've had loads.

I built my R40 back in '03 when they came out. I used a Serpent Nova Mega 3-port .12 and used
an RD Logics dual chamber pipe and got great results.
