Iv just brought a hpi evo rs4 off a friend who showed it me starting and it all worked fine, i brought it off him the following week after no use from when he had shown me working i tried to start it and it would only start if i kept pushing the primer button, it would fire up and cut straight out after it had burnt the fuel in the pot, like not enough fuel was getting through to the carb, i set the needle back to factory settings and still the same happened, started up and cut straight out, anyone help?

Do you have a line from the tank to the exhaust??

Sometimes the tank does not seal correctly. Push down on the tank and make sure that it's closed right or possibly the seal went out on it.
