Mugen Seiki MTX4 advise
Irecently obtained in a trade a good condition MTX4 . it is almost complete except it is missing the shocks. It is equipped with a nice RB12 engine that runs really well and other than normal wear and tear it looks like a nice car. Some questions please.
1) can I use shocks from another brand of car? Iam having trouble locating factory shocks and when I do they want about $100 a set.
2) is this car current and worth saving or is it completely obsolete? I am not a racer but Ihave a lot of experience with other types of RC cars, trucks, buggies and this seems like a really nice car.
3) Iam not 100% sure I am interested in keeping it should I sell it and if so how much should Iexpect to see for it?

I am not a Mugen expert, but will have a bash at your questions.....sooner or later a Mugen guy will turn up.
1) Yes I would imagine you could use shocks from another car, knowing the dimensions of what should be there will help.
2) I think it is/was a popular car, if it is fun who cares...
3) Browsing Ebay and similar sites for a while will give you an idea of value.

Thanks for the help, without the shocks I have no way to determine the dimensions. Iwas hoping somebody had an old set of shocks they would sell or clue me in to what optional shocks are available.
