nitro engine not getting fuel.
I just picked up my dad's hpi rs4 nitro. He ran it only a few times about 6 years ago. I cleaned it up put a new glow plug in it fueled it up primed it tried to start it and nothing happened. So i made sure my ignitor was working and it was so i pulled the glow plug out put a drop of nitro in and it started right up. Should i clean the carb or what? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. Remove the carb and clean it out with a paper clip. Bend it into an angle and try to get deep in the holes. Blow into parts to make sure air is getting through then try and use nitro cleaner to spray it down. Then put it back together.

RE: nitro engine not getting fuel.
You can use WD 40 to clean out the gum build up in the engine and it will work wonders if the engine sat this long. WD 40 will cleanup the engine without harming it then use a nitro cleaner to remove the oils from the WD 40.
It is an old school remedy for cleaning up old fuel in engines and will not harm any of the rubber seals or bearing seals.
