Default Ball Diff Question

I have had a traxxas 4tec pro for years.I drove it for the first time Saturday. It has as traxxas 2.5 in it. The car is hard to drive straight it wants to go left or right.I have never driven a ball diff. It corners great do ball diffs act different than gear diffs? The car is in mint condition and everything is adjusted correctly. It almost acts like posi traction when I get on it the rear slides out and I spin

Most ball diffs are adjustable. These are I know of. You can go from fully locked to fully open. I have a 4-tec as well and what you are describing mine has more recently started doing the same. Try adjusting them. Mine just need to be rebuilt (not pro, no ball diff.) They start unpredictably unloading at high speed giving that squirrelly handling you're describing. Mine however never spun out unless I took the middle belt off. Might wanna check the condition of the middle and front belts. If they are still on there make sure they're not missing teeth and or slipping. There are shims that came with it that fit under the middle pulley if needed.
