Default Got a new car! Help identify please!!

First off ill say hello, i am new here and to the hobby, i recently got in trade a nitro car that i need help to identify.

I assume it is a hpi rs4 but thats about all i know. It has an O.S. max 12cv engine that i assume didnt come with it originaly. It is a belt driven 4wd and it needs quite a bit of tlc.

Please help identify so i can repair it back to glory!

The guys from Miami that used to frequent this forum would tell you in a flash everything you need to know...my knowledge of the RS4 is limited...

Maybe an RS4-2?...All I can tell you is that the belt drive is more desirable...there is a mountain of information logged on this forum...the search function is not great but maybe will let you find some info.

Yeah i found some info and came to the conclusion that it is most likely a super nitro rs4 and a lot of parts match on the hpi manual i found online

Super nitro is a 1/8th car and it doesn't look like it has the super's body mounts and the shocks are on a steeper angle... My guess is that its a RS4 2 nitro racer the only thing missing is the carbon upper deck. The only way to know for sure is checking the chassis (posting a pic of the bottom) and or measuring the wheel base. Reg RS4's are 200mm width and obviously the Super's will be wider 280mm to 300mm.

I can tell you its a old hpi car. maybe a RS4 2 nitro or something. the best way to find out is it look at the frame and compare it to a few on HPI's site.
