RS4 3 ss carborater Help
I just got my Rs4 ss yesterday and I'm at the stage where you have to screw in a little screw (it has a ball on the end) into the carborater horn. (It has two holes and is held on by a large silver nut) In the directions it looks like there is only one hole in this horn thing and the screw is silver. Mine has two holes and a black nut (Which I can't get in). First does my engine have the wrong parts and second how can I get this screw in. Thanks for your help and sorry if I didn't use the right terminology.

first of all, thats part of the transmission. second, the black nut is already in it. you need to take out the black nut that is already in it and replace the spring inside with a spring made for high performance engines

then put the black ntu back on, with rotations accordinbg to the manual. and by the way, i recently built an NRS4 3 SS and do everything EXACTLY as the manual says or else you will regret it.

Thanks. The thing I'm talking about is in the below the middle of the the head and filter. I also can't seem to find a wrench of anything to fit that small of a screw.

you mean the ball cup? get a pair of pliers and push it onto the ball. if your talking about the low speed adjustment screw, its the thing thats a small screw in the middle of a nut.

No, sorry this is so confusing and thanks for helping. It's the screw with the ball that the ball cup goes onto. In your setup it's the thing where the throttle servo connects to. I cant't get the screw with the ball into the little arm. Did yours come with the little arm having one or two holes?

I'm not sure but I think the 4-way wrench that comes with the kit has a driver for it.I know what you're talking about and it was a pain in the ass to get in there....if you put a tiny bit of wax on the threads it'll help.

RE: RS4 3 ss carborater Help
Did you get it yet? If not, is the hole clear of any access plastic (mold flashing) ? Maybe if you take an X-Acto knife (you got one?) or similar and very carefully open up the hole just enough to allow the threads to get started. Being plastic, the ball stud should thread right in, using the above mentioned socket end of the 4-way wrench...
