Default Low speed needle coming loose? help

Has anyone ever heard of the LSN coming loose as the car idles. I adjust mine and then as it idles for like 5 seconds it tightens up, gets too lean and the car dies,--the only way I can keep the car running is to take the low speed needle all the way out.--someone told me Teflon tape or red thread lock-but has anyone actually had this problem and fixed it? help

If this is a new engine I would send it back to the manufacturer.

That's odd, usually things want to vibrate out, not in?
I would take the needle out and make sure it has the O-ring on, that might be a 5 cents/trip to the hardware store fix?

Good luck

Some carbs has a spring clip to lock the needle in place through a groove(sp). I've seen these on OS carbs and others. What kind of engine do you have?

In most cases send the engine in to the manufacturer.
I would call them first and tell them the problem.
