RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
No, I don't think so although CEN's are fast they are very unreliable. I work in my LHC and they are the most problematic cars on the market. We use to sell alot of CEN cars but because of the amount of problems the customers have had we now stock and sell less of them.

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
If you want a race worthy car from CEN, try the CT-4. It has all the adjustment capabilities as a Mugen, a top speed that is unmatched so far and only costs around $330. To date there have been 0 problems with the car. True CEN has had problems on some cars, but not on this one. It was clocked on camera at 73.4 mph and off camera at 74.9 mph. Also, the CT4 has 2 Pro drivers who will be racing it in upcoming touring car events. check out this link for the speed test. http://www.cenracing.com/cars/ct4s/ct4s.html . This was done on a car pulled out of the box. call 714-792-1923 for more details. They will be glad to answer questions.

Yeah thats pretty cool[8D] but have you felt the weight of the car, it's suurprisingly heavy, at first i thought 70 mph, no chance but after watching that who cares how much it weighs, 74.3 mph[X(]

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
stay away from cens my mate bought one and he has broken just about ever bit on the car you start it and then all of a sudden one of your wishbones are broken. although on my mates they went real cheap and the where plastic. it even looks more like a toy car that you would buy at a $2 shop. i have seen alot of seens and they are all the same poor quality and cheap. they also aren't cheap atleast they aren't for what they are junk.

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
I bought the CT4-S and love it!!!! Of course I hated the radio, swapped it with a standar JR unit I had. The thing flies!! As for racing, with a good set of tires, why not. It has adj shocks, sway bars, its low.....The only other thing I did was modify the brakes a bit, I don't like the CEN standard brake setup...see pic..

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
I just purchases the CT4S, Im still in the break in process.
The only things I see "wrong" so far, is that CEN cant spell worth a damn. .... Oh also the fact that right on the bumper when you first get it, theres a RED sticker that says WARNING, "shooks are not filled with oil, fill with supplied oil" "Glue Tires to Rim"
Well since there was no supplied oil, i raced down to my hobby shop to get some, I opened up the shocks, and .... they were filled with oil. Oh well il need the oil at some point anyway.
(unless they really did mean shooks, and not shocks, wich I hope im not a moron and theres a piece called a Shook....)
Oh and the Remote is... low quality, you can just tell. It works fine, but hey it came with it as a RTR kit so I shouldnt have expected much anyway.
This is my first R/C Car, so thats a little input from a Newb

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
My neighbour had one before he bought an R40, it was fast out of the box..., but parts quality wasn't up to par, he kept breaking things. And as for handling..., well it's not the greatest.

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
I have 2 CEN cars, 1 TR4 and one Fun Factor Buggy, both fly liuke s*%t off a shovel, have had the buggy for 1 week and have sheared the larger spur gear already probably a stone or something, appart from that the cars are nice the buggy does what its meant to do in terms of screaming arrond BMX tracks and forrest walks, moving onto the TR4 this car is awesome, I like the 4wd and the fact that this car has been driven nearly everyday and the only thing that has broken in one of the front wishbones but that was my fault for hitting something at about 63mph headon, was expecting a whole lot more damage..
In terms of cen cars for everyone I personaly think its for more experienced drivers (no offence anyone) I like em,

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
I have a cen tr4, and it was awesome for the first 2 tanks after break in, then the catch on the second gear wore through... I tightened the thing up and used it as a single speed for a while but last week i decided to get it repaired, so i brought it into cen and they replaced my second gear. When it finallly stopped raining i took it out and ran half a tank through it, then took out the tranny and the catch is already REALY worn.... 2 more tanks and it will be through again.... anyone else have this problem? if so how did u fix it? I sent cen a email with pictures but i dont think they look at their email...

Make sure that the breaks are dis-engaging when you release the breaks because sometimes if the car has not been setup correctly the breaks will stay locked, try checking to see if this is the case

RE: NEW REVIEW: Cen Racing TR4
You are all scaring me![] I just purchased a ct4-s, and the engine break in went o.k. But the gas tank leaked all over. No biggie. Cen told me they would replace it. Then after the break in, I thought I would open it up a bit. Fast for sure. But no low end at all. My stadium truck will out run this car to about 45mph. Running about 55 or 60, the main belt flew off.[X(] I put it back on, but 'am still waiting for the tank to be returned before I run it again. I really like this car, but there are a few problems with it. I'm sure once I get the bugs out, it will be fine. Similar things happened to my truck as well and it runs great now.
