I have a rossi black pixi .12 threaded crank just been run in and it was in a spider mk 2 and ran forward ( for about 1 tank then i took it out )

i have since put the motor in a mugen mtx2 chassis ( i had to grind the crank down and add an SG crank adaptor ) the car also has a "power clutch" which i am unfamilar with.

Anyway everthing is in and loctite and i go to start it , and the gears on the clutch are running toward the front of the car making the 2 speed gears run toward the back of the car needless to say the 4 wheels are not moving and the car is sitting still[>:]

maybe you have a gear mesh make sure the clutch bell and the spur gear arnt too tight or too loose

I also dont know exactly what you meant but if your engine indeed goes backwards your one way bearing is busted. I think that by what you said your problem is that you didnt set your clutch right I dont know what kind of clutch that car has I beleive its a centax so check that out first.

i called my LHS and he tells me that new engines do this sometimes, something to do with the idle being too high, also it just kicks back to the right direction during idling

I have the engine tuned in (My first one !!) just some fine tuning to go but at the moment this thing f#@$ing hammers!!!!the foams (slightly used) are now torn to shreads, cant wait to see it when its fully tuned!!!!

maybe just becasue the manufacture idle setting is too rich, this happened to my OS b4

i have an ek4 thunder tiger monster truck and that engine ran in reverse for a bit
if i stopped it then restarted it it was fine, but this one just started in reverse all the time

it all good now

well, what you do is make the pics small size. and its just like posting a post. you go to the reply screen and hit upload images near the bottom. then find your pics and upload them. then just type in a message and post the pics.

Take the shell off and then turn it around the other way. it will look as if it is going the right way... LOL
