Default Diff Lube on NTC3+

Hey guys, I have run my NTC3 now for a while and decided that it's time to change...well put in some diff oil in...what do you guys suggest as the front and rear weights?? I checked out the AE set and they have many weights in the set..really don't need all of that..would rather buy the weights I need. I really don't need weights to race..I mainly do parking lot bashing.

thanks,

Michael

Hey. Im currently building a factory team kit (ntc3) And pretty much every setting in the kit is the best generic setting that the AE Team use. So, the oil they use is the Stealth #6951. Hopefully that will helps. And what did you mean

i don't think you can use diff oil on a ntc3 the diff cases they are not sealed and the oil would leak out. the only thing i use is the stealth diff lube #6591 its $2.50 for 4cc that's not alot but enough to do both diffs and have some left. hope that helps Ralph

Don't use oil in the diffs. They adjust via spring pressure, not viscosity.

Use either the stealth diff lube, or the green slime. A little goes a long way.

If you meant shock oil, and you drive around in parking lots, I suggest 40wt.

or

will work.

The diff, as you saw, should need very little to stay properly lubed. I just put about 6 dots on the ring gear and 4 dots on the drive gear and give a good spinning to get the lube distributed
