Default nitro: possible to drift with???

i was just curious, coz i see that alot of'"drift" drivers drive with eletric rc cars ( because they are light weighted ) I was wondering if it is possible to do that with a nitro car, maybe changing the wheels???? Well I don't know if it's possible, but I am hoping that it's possible.....

any feedback or advice would be very much appreciated

You can visit the Drifting section of RCU here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Drif...mid_304/tt.htm
They can probably answer your questions.

yes, you can drift with a nitro car...but my question is
why would you? all those hours of R&D that the company put into your car's suspension's geometry goes to waste when all you do is slide around on hard plastic tires. I want to see people start drifting with skill on rubber tires, not just some silver-can underpowered tamiya thing with PVC "tires"

ya its possible and its fun as HE11!!! u can drift with pvc or i heard u can put duct tape on ur tirez. I use foams, they wear out after doing it for a while (i have like 2mm tred in the back tires, which are wider than the front so i cant switch them) . But i got new rubber tirez here that need to be glued.

I put electric tape on my stock nitro rs4 3 and the wheels just spun and it didnt move. So i think if you use electrical tape put a thin bit in the middle of the tire and none on the front. But the tape leaves a sticky residue if you take the tape off so don't expect to get your tires back how they were.

i use hpi pirelli d compound tires on my rs4 3 converted to rally for drifting on asphalt and dirt, no pvc or tape, just lots of practice. The tires dont have much rubber in contact with the ground at any one time, so you can't really handle, but for rally and drifting, its great
