Associated 1/10 on road

Is this car good for racing or only ashing? I think the Mugan is the best but how will the associated compare?

Does anyone outhere have experience in converting a RC10NDS to use curretn touring car wheels? I have read some tips on the Assoc web site and the HPI web site about using traxxas parts, but they seam to make too many changes to the front suspension geometry. Any ideas would help? I am currently making some new king pins from aluminum that well accept 3/16x3/8 wheel bearings, but to make room for the wheel bearings I had to increase the trail .150". I' m not sure what the effects of increased trail are?
